Interior Designer

Signature Homes is seeking a sincere and dedicated Junior Interior Designer with at least one year of hands-on experience in the field. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong passion for design, eagerness to learn new design concepts, materials, and tools, and takes full ownership of assigned projects. This role focuses on creating compelling 2D and 3D drafts and visualizations while actively contributing to the overall design process. Working closely with project teams, the Junior Interior Designer will support the development of innovative and functional interior spaces that align with client needs and company standards. This position requires proficiency in space planning, AutoCAD, 3D rendering, 3D modeling, and SketchUp. The Junior Interior Designer works under guidance but is responsible for managing their own workload, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, and continuously improving technical skills. While this role does not involve managing a team, it offers ample opportunity for professional growth within a creative and collaborative environment at Signature Homes.
Responsibilities
 

• Collaborate in the development of interior design concepts and layouts that address client requirements and aesthetic preferences.
• Produce accurate 2D and 3D drafts and renderings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Apply knowledge of space planning principles to maximize functionality and flow in residential and commercial interiors.
• Create detailed drawings and presentations to support design proposals and client approvals.
• Research new materials, finishes, furnishings, and technologies to incorporate into design projects.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety, accessibility, and building codes relevant to interior environments.
• Work closely with senior designers and other project stakeholders to revise and refine design plans based on feedback.
• Maintain organized project documentation and files to streamline the design process and future reference.
• Meet deadlines consistently while managing multiple tasks and design projects simultaneously.
• Continuously develop technical skills related to interior design tools and industry trends to enhance design quality and innovation.
• Communicate effectively within the team and with clients to ensure alignment on project goals, expectations, and progress.
