About Sharksfluence:

Sharksfluence is a Karachi-based influencer marketing and UGC agency serving DTC eCommerce brands across the US, UK, and EU. We build creator distribution systems, creator sourcing and management, UGC ad creative, affiliate programs, whitelisting, and Spark Ads — for brands that don't have the team or relationships to run it in-house: twenty people, multiple active brands.

About the Role:

We're building our own content engine — the Sharksfluence company account plus both founders' personal brands, publishing consistently to DTC ecommerce founders in the US, UK, and EU. You'd cut the video. Most of it is founder talking-head content from a weekly filming block: a person to camera with something worth saying, which you turn into something people actually watch to the end. Plus B-roll, motion graphics, animated text, captions, and sound. Two styles matter here — the company account needs to be polished and credible; the founders' accounts need to be human and direct. You should be comfortable with both.

This is in-house work for Sharksfluence, not client delivery. You won't be editing for client brands. Remote and freelance on a project basis. Karachi preferred so we can occasionally be in the room for a shoot, but not required.

The Goal of This Role: Take a founder talking to a camera and make a busy DTC brand owner watch the whole thing.

What You'll Own:

• Talking-head edits for both founders — Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube
• Short-form social video for the Sharksfluence company account
• Cutting one long recording into multiple short pieces
• B-roll selection and timing
• Motion graphics and animated elements — text reveals, callouts, lower thirds, transitions
• Styled captions and subtitles, readable on mute
• Sound design, music, and audio cleanup
• Color correction and grading, working from our supplied LUTs
• Cover frames and thumbnails

What You Need:

• 3–5 years of editing video, with a reel of published work
• You've edited talking-head content — a person to camera, made watchable. This is the core of the job
• You've edited for a personal brand — a founder, executive or creator posting to their own audience
• You've edited short-form social video for a B2B business — an agency, software house, SaaS or similar. We need both, not one
• You've edited for US, UK or European audiences
• You understand retention — the first three seconds, and what keeps someone watching to the end
• You can build motion graphics and animated text, not just cut clips together
• Captions, sound design, and color grading are all part of your normal workflow
• You've produced at volume against a content calendar
• Your own editing software and a machine that can handle the work

Nice to Have:

• After Effects for more involved motion graphics
• AI editing tools — auto-captioning, filler-word removal, clip selection
• Podcast or long-form-to-clips workflow
• Influencer marketing, UGC, creator economy or DTC ecommerce familiarity
• Karachi-based

How We'll Measure Success:

Edits that come back on brief the first time, turnaround that keeps the calendar moving, and videos that hold attention past the first three seconds — not videos that look impressive in isolation. We'll know it's working when the founders stop asking for a second cut.
