We are currently seeking a full-time Junior Accounts Officer to join our team at the Karachi office. This role involves assisting with daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting accounts payable and receivable functions. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance professionals to manage month-end closings, ensure tax compliance, and handle daily financial activities in a dynamic and fast-growing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledgers and perform accurate data entry using accounting software.
- Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), petty cash, and inventory records.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and maintain supporting documentation for invoices and payments.
- Assist with tax compliance processes, including basic Income Tax and Sales Tax tasks.
- Support month-end financial closing activities and prepare routine financial reports.
- Organize both physical and digital financial records to ensure audit readiness.
- Collaborate with senior finance staff to ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory. Candidates with an MBA in Finance will be preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of practical experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in standard accounting software, with preference for experience in QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, bank reconciliations, inventory management, petty cash handling, and local tax regulations including Income Tax and Sales Tax.
- Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, strong time management, and a willingness to learn under senior supervision.
