Job Description

This role involves managing warehouse operations to ensure the smooth and timely issuance of packaging materials, raw materials, auxiliary materials, and bulk products according to production schedules. The incumbent will maintain accurate inventory records aligned with SAP data, monitor slow-moving and expired stock, and actively participate in planning meetings to implement agreed actions. Coordination with procurement, supply, finance, production, and quality control teams is essential to guarantee material availability and compliance with customs and excise reporting. The role also emphasizes optimizing warehouse space, adhering to safety and security guidelines, and fostering a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture throughout all warehouse activities. Continuous improvement and risk assessment are integral parts of the position to support site initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure timely issuance of packaging materials, raw materials, auxiliary materials, and bulk products in line with production requirements and plans.
- Maintain physical stock levels that accurately reflect SAP inventory records.
- Identify and provide comprehensive information on slow-moving, non-moving, and expired active ingredients, auxiliary materials, and finished products.
- Participate in Reorder Point (ROP) and Pre-Sales & Operations Planning (Pre-S&OP) meetings, ensuring implementation of decisions and follow-up actions.
- Collaborate effectively with Indirect and Direct Procurement teams to secure the timely availability of materials and products at the site.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and implement best practices in warehouse management.
- Coordinate with the Supply Team to report discrepancies in dispatches to regional warehouses and immediately escalate distribution incidents such as theft, leakage, or missing items to relevant managers.
- Ensure all dispatches comply with Regional Load Security Guidelines and maximize truck/container utilization for transportation efficiency.
- Provide timely reporting of material consumption to the Supply and Finance teams as required.
- Work closely with Supply, Finance, Production, and Quality Control teams to ensure timely submission of customs and excise reports.
- Develop and maintain an annual training matrix for warehouse staff based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
- Promote and embed a strong HSE culture in all warehouse operations.
- Conduct risk assessments (Warehouse Risk Assessment, Hazard Risk Assessment, and Job Safety Analysis) in collaboration with the HSE Manager and designated assessors.
- Actively support site initiatives and continuous improvement projects related to raw material inventory management and quality control improvement plans.
- Ensure full compliance with all HSE protocols and guidelines established by the organization.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management, transportation safety, and inventory control, including handling inbound, outbound, and quarantine goods.
- In-depth knowledge of Pakistan’s laws and regulations related to the storage of chemicals and petroleum products, including the Pakistan Petroleum Rules.
- Basic understanding of product hazards and safe handling/storage procedures.
- Familiarity with HSE and security requirements specific to chemical warehousing.
- Strong knowledge of transportation safety and load optimization techniques.
- Proven ability to manage emergencies such as spillages, accidents, and other warehouse-related incidents.
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across organizational levels, especially with warehouse operators and frontline workers.
- Strong decision-making capabilities to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and flexible approach to stakeholder engagement.
- A team-oriented mindset with a performance-driven attitude.
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high performance and meet targets.
