Lead Procurement (Building Material & Hardware)

Job Purpose:

The position is responsible for the smooth and transparent process of procurement to be efficient and economical. In addition, assessment of products and services received, as well as negotiating prices and payment terms with suppliers are key functions of this job.

Responsibilities:

Processing purchase requisitions by analyzing PR details and addressing queries with the plant, adjusting and negotiating price quotations by sharing material information with suppliers, and comparing quotes based on rates, payment terms, quality, and service. Order placement involves creating POs based on approved quotes, downloading PO copies, and sharing them with suppliers. Delivery process management ensures timely deliveries as per targets, coordination with the factory for goods receipt marking, and addressing issues with vendors in case of rejections. Additional tasks involve account reconciliation by creating and submitting advance payment requests to Treasury, resolving invoice and quotation issues through weekly plant visits, and managing special assignments as required.

What makes you the perfect candidate?

Bachelors / Masters in Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of specialized principles or techniques normally obtained through a three- or four-year academic program or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program directly related to the type of work being performed
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
