Legal Manager

Summary:

Tapmad is seeking a dynamic Legal Manager to work closely with the Head of Legal as a strategic partner across content, corporate, intellectual property, regulatory, and commercial matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in contract management, a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, and the ability to translate legal complexities into clear, business-focused strategies. Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate licensing agreements, content acquisition deals, talent/vendor contracts, and partnership agreements with OTT flair.
• Ensure copyrights, trademarks, and media rights are watertight. You’ll be the guardian of our intellectual property empire.
• Keep us aligned with PEMRA, SECP, FIA Cyber Laws, SBP payments regulations, data protection laws, and global best practices.
• Support board matters, maintain statutory compliance, and drive legal oversight across group entities.
• Work closely with Content, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Tech teams to provide timely legal guidance that enables fast decision-making.
• Provide strategic legal leadership by managing key initiatives, leading meetings when required, and ensuring continuity of legal operations.

Requirements:

• LL. B (UK – UOL or equivalent). Master’s preferred but not mandatory.
• 3–5 years of experience in a media/tech, OTT, or digital platform legal function.

Skills:

• Exceptional contract drafting and review skills.
• Proactive approach to compliance, with the ability to anticipate regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of licensing frameworks, digital media laws, and corporate legal structuring.
• Ability to efficiently navigate between content-related and corporate legal matters.
