Terms & Conditions: Full-time Internship (3 months – June to August)

About the Project:

The Pakistan Banking Summit (PBS) is an industry-led conference hosted by the Pakistan Banks Association, bringing together key stakeholders from local and international banking and financial sectors. The summit will explore the future of banking, finance, and economic cooperation, while positioning Pakistan as a hub for innovative financial solutions.

As a Marketing & Communications Intern, you will play a key role in amplifying the visibility and impact of this landmark event. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the planning, promotion, and execution of a flagship industry event, while building skills in marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement within the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities

● Content Creation: Assist in drafting and reviewing marketing materials, including social media posts, press releases, and event invitations.

● Stakeholder Coordination: Assist in coordinating with invitees, member banks and partners to ensure timely communication and deliverables.

● RSVP Management: Develop, track and manage RSVPs; maintain and update the invitation list; and ensure timely communication with invitees regarding confirmations and event details.

● Agency Coordination: Work closely with the external marketing and PR agency to ensure consistent messaging, timely execution of deliverables, and alignment with the summit's brand strategy.

● Administrative Support: Provide general support including maintaining project timelines, preparing reports, and organizing materials for board meetings.

● Event Day Support: Participate in on-site event coordination, including managing media interactions and attendee engagement.

● Additional Tasks: Be willing to take on other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the team.

Education & Experience

● Currently pursuing or recently completed a university degree (Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred

● Prior internship or relevant project experience is a plus

Skills

● Strong verbal and written communication skills

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and social media platforms

● Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva and Photoshop) is a plus

● Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

● Proactive attitude with a keen interest in marketing, communications, and event management within the financial sector

● Ability to coordinate effectively with external agencies and manage multiple stakeholders

● Well versed in English and Urdu, with a strong interest in marketing, communications, and event management
