Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Python Developer role based in Karachi. The Python Developer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power SLGTrax’s logistics and tracking platforms. Responsibilities include writing clean, scalable, and well-documented code; integrating third-party services; optimizing application performance; and troubleshooting production issues. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, operations, and data teams, to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The developer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and help improve development processes and best practices.
Qualifications
 

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with hands-on experience using Python in production environments.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful APIs, working with databases (SQL/NoSQL), and integrating external services.
• Practical experience in Software Development, including version control (Git), testing, debugging, and deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of web frameworks such as Django or Flask, and familiarity with microservices or service-oriented architectures.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker), or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
