Senior Plant Maintenance Consultant

Job Description

Fulcrum Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Plant Maintenance Consultant to join their manufacturing facility located in Port Qasim, Karachi, on a contractual basis. This role focuses on enhancing equipment reliability and operational efficiency within industries such as Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Textile, Cement, and Pharmaceutical manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess over 20 years of experience in maintenance management and have a proven track record of leading maintenance transformation projects. They will actively implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime, improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and optimize maintenance operations. This position includes managing a team of one person and requires leading maintenance planning activities, conducting root cause analysis, and optimizing spare parts management. The Senior Plant Maintenance Consultant will also support the adoption and utilization of maintenance management systems and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking. Mentoring and guiding maintenance personnel are essential elements of this role to ensure continuous improvement and high-performance maintenance practices within the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
 

• Evaluate existing maintenance systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment availability and reliability.
• Lead shutdown planning activities to ensure efficient execution with minimal production impact.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and develop actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Optimize inventory and management of spare parts to reduce carrying costs while ensuring availability.
• Support the implementation and integration of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to streamline maintenance workflows.
• Monitor and analyze maintenance performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to maintenance staff to build team capabilities and ensure adherence to maintenance best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance objectives with overall production goals.
• Lead maintenance transformation projects to modernize and enhance maintenance functions and culture within the plant.
