Job Description

Cotton and Silk is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Category Analyst with at least five years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage a team of two persons and focus on optimizing category management and inventory processes to enhance supply chain efficiency. This role demands expertise in data analysis and supply chain management to support strategic decision-making and improve overall category performance within the company. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless flow of goods and maintain optimal inventory levels, contributing to the companys operational excellence. The Supply Chain Category Analyst plays a vital role in analyzing supply chain data, monitoring category trends, and developing insights that inform purchasing and inventory management strategies. Proficiency in Excel and strong category management capabilities are essential to succeed in this position. The candidate will lead efforts to streamline supply chain operations, mitigate risks, and optimize costs while fostering collaboration within the team and across departments. Responsibilities
 

• Lead and manage a team of two supply chain analysts, providing guidance, support, and performance management to achieve department goals.
• Analyze category-specific data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improving supply chain effectiveness and category profitability.
• Develop and implement category management strategies aligned with company goals to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
• Monitor inventory management processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with demand forecasts and supply plans.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to support category planning and execution initiatives.
• Maintain and enhance supply chain data systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting using advanced Excel functions and other relevant tools.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to category performance, supplier reliability, and market changes.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing category performance, inventory status, and improvement plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to improve supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in category management and supply chain operations to continuously improve performance.
