System Administrator (On-Premises Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator with strong expertise in VMware, Sangfor, Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our on-premises IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role does not require cloud experience and is focused exclusively on physical and virtualized environments within the organization.

Responsibilities

• VMware Administration
• Manage and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
• Perform VM provisioning, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot virtualization infrastructure.
• Sangfor Solutions
• Configure, manage, and support Sangfor firewall, VPN, and security appliances.
• Implement and monitor network security policies.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Microsoft Exchange
• Administer and maintain on-premises Exchange servers.
• Manage mail flow, mailbox databases, and user accounts.
• Troubleshoot email delivery issues and ensure system reliability.
• Active Directory
• Manage AD users, groups, and organizational units.
• Implement and enforce Group Policies.
• Maintain domain controllers and ensure directory service integrity.
• General System Administration
• Monitor system performance and availability.
• Apply patches, updates, and security hardening.
• Perform regular backups and recovery testing.
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in system administration with a focus on on-premises infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in:
• VMware vSphere/ESXi
• Sangfor firewall/VPN/security solutions
• Microsoft Exchange (on-premises)
• Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs, domain controllers)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Experience with Windows Server administration.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance optimization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
