Verification Officer

PalmPay is seeking a detail‑oriented professional to join our team as a Verification Officer. You’ll be at the frontline of fraud prevention, ensuring customer trust and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities:

 

• Investigate cases flagged for suspected fraud or misrepresentation
• Conduct telephonic and system‑based verification of customer details
• Perform field visits in high‑risk cases to validate identity and address
• Analyze customer behavior, repayment trends, and system alerts
• Document findings and maintain accurate verification records
• Escalate confirmed fraud cases to Risk, Compliance, or Legal teams
• Coordinate with collections, sales, and support teams for resolution
• Prepare fraud investigation reports and highlight recurring risk trends
• Support improvements in fraud detection and verification procedures

Requirements:

• Graduate (Business, Finance, Criminology preferred)
• 1–3 years in verification, fraud investigation, or compliance
• Strong analytical & problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of fraud detection, KYC/AML, and fintech systems a plus

Responsibilities

• Verify and authenticate customer documents and information in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify irregularities or inconsistencies in submitted documentation.
• Perform fraud detection activities using established methodologies and anomaly detection techniques.
• Follow KYC procedures meticulously to ensure that customer identities meet statutory and internal compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of verifications and investigations for audit purposes and future reference.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as compliance, risk management, and customer service to address verification issues promptly.
• Report suspicious activities and findings to the appropriate departments for further investigation.
• Continuously update knowledge on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and fraud prevention techniques.
• Assist in the development and implementation of improved verification processes and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information at all times.
