Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Website Designer / Web Developer to design, build, and optimize high-performing websites across multiple platforms. This role requires hands-on experience with WordPress (Elementor), Shopify, Squarespace, and WIX, along with a strong understanding of on-page SEO best practices.

The ideal candidate can work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver visually polished, conversion-focused websites that are technically sound and search-engine optimized. This role is critical to ensuring our clients’ websites not only look great but also rank well, load fast, and convert traffic into leads and sales.

Job DescriptionCore Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain websites using WordPress (Elementor), Shopify, Squarespace, and WIX
• Customize themes, layouts, and page structures to align with brand guidelines and user experience best practices
• Implement on-page SEO elements, including:
• Page titles and meta descriptions
• Header hierarchy (H1–H6)
• Image optimization and alt text
• Internal linking structures
• URL structure and permalink optimization
• Schema and SEO plugin configurations (where applicable)
• Ensure websites are mobile-responsive, fast-loading, and technically sound
• Collaborate with internal SEO and marketing teams to align site structure with keyword strategies
• Troubleshoot website issues, plugin conflicts, layout problems, and performance concerns
• Perform website updates, edits, and ongoing optimizations post-launch
• Follow best practices for website security, backups, and updates
• Maintain clear documentation of builds, edits, and client-specific requirements

Experience & QualificationsRequired Experience

• Proven experience building websites on:
• WordPress (Elementor)
• Shopify
• Squarespace
• WIX
• Strong working knowledge of on-page SEO fundamentals
• Understanding of SEO plugins and tools (e.g., Yoast, Rank Math, Shopify SEO tools)
• Experience designing conversion-focused layouts and user flows
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred (Not Required, But a Plus)

• Basic understanding of technical SEO concepts
• Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics
• Experience optimizing site speed and Core Web Vitals
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for minor customizations
• Experience working in an agency environment
