API Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled API Developer with expertise in VB.NET, MVC, and SQL Server to design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs for our applications. The ideal candidate should have experience working with RESTful services, database management, and application architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize APIs using VB.NET and MVC frameworks. Design and implement secure and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Work with SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs with web and mobile applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve API-related issues.
• Ensure code quality, security, and best practices in API development.
• Document API specifications, endpoints, and usage guidelines.
• Work with third-party APIs and integrate external services when needed.
• Participate in code reviews and improve development workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in VB.NET and ASP.NET MVC.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning).
• Familiarity with authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, API keys, etc.).
• Knowledge of error handling, logging, and debugging techniques.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of software development best practices.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.).
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
