This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of a restaurant to ensure efficient and seamless business performance. The role involves supervising multiple teams such as accountants, cashiers, store staff, security personnel, and housekeeping to maintain productivity and discipline. The candidate will prepare and review operational reports, manage financial documentation, oversee inventory and vendor relations, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards. Close coordination with HR and other departments is required to support recruitment, training, and employee performance management. Additionally, the role demands maintaining high standards of cleanliness, resolving customer complaints, and assisting the Restaurant Manager in boosting sales and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision, service quality, housekeeping, safety protocols, and overall operational efficiency.
- Manage and monitor accountants, cashiers, store staff, security guards, sweepers, and other operational teams to ensure productivity and discipline.
- Prepare, review, and submit operational reports such as sales, inventory, attendance, production, cost of goods sold (COGS), and financial records within required deadlines.
- Handle cash management, banking transactions, bookkeeping, vouchers, salary records, asset registers, and other relevant documentation.
- Supervise inventory purchasing, ensure stock availability, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate with the supply chain department for timely inventory receipt.
- Ensure maintenance and monitoring of generators, kitchen equipment, utilities, fire safety measures, first aid arrangements, and security systems.
- Collaborate with Human Resources for hiring, employee training, disciplinary actions, staff performance management, and adherence to company SOPs and policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all restaurant areas including kitchen, dining halls, restrooms, parking, waiting areas, and staff accommodation facilities.
- Address and resolve customer complaints, monitor food quality and service standards, and support the Restaurant Manager in driving sales and improving customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with government departments, vendors, marketing teams, and external parties to ensure operational compliance and business continuity.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality operations management with strong leadership and team supervision skills.
- Hands-on experience in cash handling, bookkeeping, inventory control, reporting, and cost management within restaurant operations.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant SOPs, housekeeping standards, food safety practices, and operational compliance procedures.
- Experience in staff management including recruitment coordination, employee discipline, and performance monitoring in high-volume environments.
- Ability to manage vendors, utilities, maintenance operations, and effectively resolve operational issues under pressure.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills with the capability to lead teams during challenging situations.
