Senior Software Engineer - PHP

Jeeny is growing its Backend team in Lahore office and looking for a reliable Senior Software Engineer (PHP) responsible for our product.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Gathering requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional
• solutions.
• Responsible for development of new programs, analyzing current programs and processes, identifying
• areas for modification and making recommendations which yield a more cost-effective product.
• Contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple
• environments and operating platforms.
• Working closely with all team members to understand full-stack functionality and architecture.
• Contributing ideas (technological and product) to enhance the overall app experience.
• Staying abreast with technological updates and implementing technology improvements after R&D.
• Ensure adherence to engineering processes such as code reviews, source control, unit testing, use case
• analysis, defect management, continuous integration and deployment
• Work closely with the Project Managers in providing technical solutions and innovative ideas to cater to
• project needs.
• Update job knowledge by researching new technologies and software products.
• Supporting teams by developing documentation and assistance tools
• Provide recommendations to management concerning issues of programmer productivity and software
• development management.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Sciences
• 3-5 years of experience as backend developer
• Must be proficient in PHP (Core), OOP, data structures, transaction management, algorithms, complexity of algorithms
• Extensive web development experience in PHP
• Must have good knowledge of Databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
• Sound knowledge of AWS
• Strong and innovative approach towards problem solving and finding solutions. Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.
• Excellent understanding of design patterns and best practices for coding styles, standard naming conventions, security, etc.
• Sound understanding of SOLID principles
• Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Knowledge of static and dynamic code analysis and CICD pipeline.
• Good communication skills
• Good team player that is enthusiastic about delivering results
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
