We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Import Officer to oversee and manage all aspects of import purchasing and logistics. The ideal candidate should have experience in import buying, supplier negotiations, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and negotiate with international suppliers to procure raw materials at competitive prices.
  • Manage import documentation, including LC (Letter of Credit), bill of lading, and customs clearance.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs agents for smooth import operations.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor global market trends to optimize procurement strategies.
  • Maintain records of purchases, shipments, and supplier agreements.
  • Work closely with finance and warehouse teams for timely payment processing and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in import buying, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and shipping procedures.
  • Proficiency in handling import documentation and logistics coordination.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
