Kickstart is Pakistan’s largest coworking space operator with a mission of creating ease of doing business for SMEs, startups, and freelancers. We have 15 operational coworking spaces in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, with 5000+ members using our spaces daily.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant Network Administrator to support our IT and network operations. The ideal candidate will assist in managing and maintaining a robust IT infrastructure, including Mikrotik and UniFi network systems, CCTV surveillance, door access control systems, and overall IT operations. This role requires a hands-on individual with a keen understanding of network and system management.

Location: Karachi & Islamabad

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Administration:

• Assist in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Mikrotik and UniFi network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and ensure reliable connectivity across all locations.
• Manage VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and other network protocols to maintain security and efficiency.
• Conduct firmware updates, backups, and documentation of network devices.

2. IT Operations Support:

• Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, printers, and servers.
• Ensure timely patch management and updates for operating systems and software.
• Monitor IT systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.

3. CCTV and Door Access Systems:

• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems and IP cameras.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with CCTV hardware and software.
• Manage and maintain door access control systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of network layouts, configurations, and access credentials.
• Generate periodic reports on network performance, security incidents, and system availability.

5. Collaboration and Improvement:

• Work closely with the senior IT team to implement network upgrades and improvements.
• Propose and execute enhancements to optimize IT operations and network performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Mikrotik and UniFi devices.
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting, routing, and switching protocols.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and door access control technologies.
• Familiarity with IT operations, hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Mikrotik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) or higher.
• UniFi certification (Ubiquiti Enterprise Wireless Admin or similar).
• CompTIA Network+ or similar IT certifications.
