Job Description:
Lakhani Global Sourcing is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer with 5+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to handle a variety of accounting tasks, including both regular financial services and import-related transactions. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records for day-to-day operations and import-related transactions.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and perform regular account reviews.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing vendor invoices, payments, and collections.
Conduct financial analysis and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control efforts.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Provide support during audits by supplying necessary documentation and reports.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and enhance the overall efficiency of accounting operations.
Handle import-related financial tasks such as managing supplier payments, customs duties, and freight costs as part of the broader accounting responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience, with experience in both regular accounting services and import-related financial processes.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP) and familiarity with global trade regulations is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage complex financial data.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a positive work environment.
