Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, managing distributors and dealers, and leading the sales team within the assigned territory. The role ensures achievement of sales targets through effective distribution management, customer relationship building, market development, and execution of company sales strategies
Responsibilities
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Develop and execute territory sales plans to maximize revenue and profitability.
Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
Increase product penetration customers.
Drive volume growth while maintaining healthy margins.
Distributor & Dealer Management
Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, dealers, and retailers.
Ensure distributors maintain adequate inventory levels.
Monitor distributor investments, profitability, and ROI.
Resolve distributor issues related to supply, pricing, claims.
Conduct regular distributor business reviews.
Team Management
Lead, coach, and motivate Sales Officers and Sales Representatives.
Conduct field visits for performance improvement.
Identify training needs and build sales capability.
Strong competency in Market Execution
Execute trade promotions and visibility campaigns.
Monitor product freshness (FMCG) or stock rotation (Battery sector).
Customer Relationship Management
Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor pricing, product launches, promotions, and market activities.
Collect market feedback and customer insights.
