About The Role
The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at Galaxy EHR will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and healthcare regulations, and optimizing revenue cycle management. This role requires expertise in GAAP accounting, financial forecasting, taxation, and regulatory compliance within the healthcare or technology industries. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to financial accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
STRONG ability to speak ENGLISH fluently and professionally is required for this position.
Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, ensuring Galaxy EHR meets all financial obligations.
Analyze revenue and expense trends, identifying areas for cost optimization and financial growth.
Collaborate with revenue cycle management teams to optimize billing and reimbursement strategies.
Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
Manage audit preparation and external audits, ensuring seamless financial review processes.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate financial transactions and timely payments.
Utilize healthcare finance software and EHR-integrated accounting systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Provide financial insights to executive leadership, supporting strategic business decisions and investment planning.
Requirements
B Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Active CPA certification required.
5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in healthcare, technology, or SaaS industries.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax regulations, and compliance in a healthcare setting.
Experience with ERP systems, QuickBooks, and accounting software used in healthcare financial management.
Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budget management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to changing financial landscapes.

Additional Information
The expected base pay for this role will be between $300.00-$700.00 monthly at the commencement of employment. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Galaxy Health-sponsored benefits.
