Job Description

EFU Life Assurance Ltd. seeks a Deputy Manager - Sustainability & Climate Finance to drive the company's sustainability and climate strategy. The ideal candidate is responsible for developing a robust environmental, social, and governance (ESG) roadmap and aligning business activities with the transition to a lower-carbon economy. This role involves assessing environmental impacts across operations and investments, including financed emissions, and supporting ESG due diligence to ensure sustainable investment practices. This role also supports internal environmental initiatives such as waste management and promotes transparent communication of sustainability efforts through engaging content development. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills to translate sustainability data into actionable business insights, helping shape both strategic direction and operational sustainability improvements. This position requires 3 to 5 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of climate finance concepts, environmental compliance, and international sustainability reporting frameworks.

  • Monitor industry developments in climate finance regulations, taxonomy guidelines, and sustainable investment trends to ensure the companys compliance and leadership in sustainability practices.
  • Assess the environmental impact of internal programs such as waste reduction, resource conservation, and ecological restoration efforts and recommend enhancements.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify, implement, and scale sustainability initiatives that improve the companys overall environmental footprint.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Accounts teams to accurately track expenditures related to sustainability projects, ensuring transparent financial reporting.
  • Support the development of internal and external communication materials that highlight sustainability initiatives, including reports, website content, and presentations.
  • Consult with stakeholders to incorporate emerging sustainability trends and innovative practices into existing and future company policies and strategies.
