The Relationship Manager / Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for the strategic acquisition, management, and retention of a corporate client portfolio to drive sustained business growth. This role entails delivering tailored banking solutions and maintaining high service standards while performing rigorous credit risk assessments—including the analysis of financial statements, management practices, and business volumes to secure internal credit limit approvals. As a senior member of the team, the incumbent acts as a catalyst for operational excellence by identifying process gaps and proposing policy or procedural adjustments to reduce Turnaround Time (TAT) and enhance overall team productivity.
A critical component of this role is a disciplined focus on asset quality and risk mitigation. This involves proactively identifying delinquent accounts, managing late payments, and following strict credit monitoring protocols to ensure timely recovery and portfolio health. Furthermore, the role involves day-to-day team management and close coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure all activities remain compliant with internal policies and external regulatory reporting standards. By monitoring customer activity trends and implementing customized strategies, the RM/SRM strengthens the bank's control environment while significantly increasing market wallet share and expanding the trade wallet.
