The incumbent is responsible to take lead in planning, executing, and finalizing risk-based audit assignments ensuring adequate coverage of all processes/ sub-processes related to productive lending business and operations including compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and impact assessment of internal & external changes on bank’s control environment. The individual will support Unit Heads in completion of departmental targets and assist in preparing presentations to report significant matters to senior management/Board Audit Committee on timely basis.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support Unit Heads in development of annual audit plan through preparation / update of the audit universe in audit management solution followed by a risk assessment of the various functions, processes & operations to ensure key risks are adequately covered.
Responsible for planning and execution of internal audits including report finalization and other consultation/ special purpose assignments.
Ensure audit work programs for each assignment are in line with the standards of IIA, TMB IA and best practices and all documentation is updated in audit management solution. 
Collaborate with other IA Unit Heads for integrated audits and sharing of sharing expertise and knowledge.
Monitor and follow up with management for closure of agreed actions by ensuring the recommendations have been adhered to as part of closure pack validation (IA and SBP observations). 
Drive innovation, identify risks and gain insights across the bank’s risk areas using data analytics techniques.
Assist in developing continuous monitoring-based dashboards/ reports around audit analytics-based results along with interpretation of same forming the basis of audit observation & recommendations.
Support Unit Head in preparation of audit committee presentation/ reporting material such as analysis on key financial trends, summary of audit reports and update on audit plan.
Coordinate with external auditors, 3rd party experts, inspection teams of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), other regulatory agencies and GIAI.
Conduct Joint Reviews / Audits with GIAI.
Update and maintain knowledge of banking policies and SBP regulations and directives.
Engage stakeholders in a timely manner to stay updated on emerging risks, business challenges and developments.
Providing on job training and mentoring to team members for their professional growth.

 

Education/Experience & Competencies:

 

Masters + Specialized Certification/Degree. Professional Certifications like ACCA, ACMA, CA, CFA, FRM would be a plus.
Minimum 06 years of relevant experience
Report writing and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Dedicated, adaptive and positive attitude towards learning, delivering value, with a track record in creative and successful problem-solving skills to draw conclusion / strong decision-making ability. 
Project management, planning, analytical and evaluation skills with an ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Strategic planning, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
