Job Title: IT Head
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the OLP Modaraba business agenda - viz. technology projects, system enhancements, problem resolutions etc.
• Ascertain smooth and continuous running of systems including Applications, Procedures, Processes and People.
• As a member of the senior management team, make a constructive and effective contribution to the formulation of the company’s key business and service objectives and formulate and progress IT and IS strategies that allow the company to achieve those objectives;
• Manage the IT department, ensuring delivery of appropriate service, support and information to all users in the OLP Modaraba offices, including the agreement and ongoing management of service level agreements (SLAs);
• Determine the most appropriate design of infrastructure to support the business, taking into account prevailing best practices and technologies; through ongoing working with departmental management, identify and agree IT priorities;
• Maintain an oversight of all IT and IS projects ensuring that compatibility and integration issues are taken into account and, as a member of the project steering group, be responsible for the monitoring and control of all IT-led projects within the company;
• Responsible for the company’s information security policy and adherence to the requirements of the Data Protection Act; also, coordinate with internal & external IT auditors.
• IT management with guidance on IT risk management matters, particularly on application and infrastructure security.
• Control the operational costs of the IT department, including the preparation, submission and monitoring of operational budgets that meet prevailing objectives and constraints;
• Ensure that IT and IS systems, infrastructure and stored data are secure against internal and external threats and position effective and appropriate measures for risk management and information security;
• Oversee negotiation and administration of vendors, outsourced suppliers and consultant service agreements and contracts;
• Manage department staffing, including resource planning, recruitment, professional development, appraisal and disciplinary actions to provide a resilient and responsive support team that provides the specified service levels to the organization’s users and the required skills for the technical support of the solutions in use.
• Add value through IT to strategic direction, planning, budgeting and performance of the business in support of relevant Head of Departments.
• Accountable for the technology service delivery – covering financials, risks, projects and BAU service management in the organization.
