About the Position:

The IT Support Assistant is responsible for supporting the Network Administrator in ensuring the efficient operation of IT systems, with a strong focus on end-user support, hardware and software troubleshooting, and network maintenance. This role plays a key part in providing timely and effective assistance to users, maintaining IT equipment, and ensuring compliance with organizational IT policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-line technical support to end users across the site, ensuring prompt resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.
Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets related to desktops, printers, applications, and network connectivity.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and network hardware.
Conduct preventive maintenance of ICT equipment to minimize downtime and extend hardware lifespan.
Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets and activities using Mogan or other internal systems.
Perform daily data backups of file servers and critical user data, and ensure secure transfer to the head office.
Collaborate with the central IT team to roll out system updates, patches, and company-wide IT initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science (BSCS) or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in IT support, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and customer service mindset.
Proficient in desktop OS (Windows/Linux), MS Office, and basic networking.
Hands-on experience with hardware setup, printer troubleshooting, and software installation.
Familiarity with Command Line Interfaces (CLI), LAN/WAN concepts, and basic system administration.
Ability to document issues and resolutions clearly and maintain IT logs.
