Junior Accountant

Job Description:

• Collaborate with the existing team to provide back-office accounting support for Cordatus clients (e.g., managing A/P & A/R, bank reconciliations, preparing periodic financial statements).
• Engage with clients via video calls (Zoom & MS Teams).
• Enter invoices and accounting data into cloud-based accounting systems.
• Respond to customer queries via email, Slack, and MS Teams live chat.
• Assist the team manager with various other tasks as required.

Job Specifications:

• MBA (Finance) from a reputed university or ACCA (part-qualified).
• Strong grasp of finance and accounting concepts.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English for effective communication with US clients.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and other basic MS Office tools.
• A reliable internet connection that supports video and phone calls.
• Comfortable working remotely.
• Work hours: 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM (Pakistan Time).
• Full-time position.

• Compensation: PKR 37,000 - 55,000 per month (depending on experience and skills).

• Employment Security Measure – Important Information
• As part of our standard practice, please note that if selected, Cordatus requires an Employment Security Measure in the form of a Rs 100,000/- cheque. This cheque will not be deposited or encashed and serves only as a precautionary measure, in line with our ISO compliance requirements, particularly regarding the company laptop.
• We want to assure you that this measure is in place to protect both the company and the employee. The cheque will be returned to you in full when you leave the organization, after returning the company laptop. Additionally, we provide an authorization letter to ensure transparency and give you confidence that the cheque is not intended to be encashed immediately and will be fully returned to you. This letter will also confirm the return of the laptop and clarify that the Employment Security Measure is held solely for precautionary purposes. You will simply need to send or drop off the cheque at our Lahore office.

Note: Company laptop is mandatory to comply our ISO requirement, irrespective of you owning personal laptop.

Cheque is just a security measure, we don’t aim to ask for funds or you to deposit in our account.
