Nuclear Reactor Operator | Remote

Position: Nuclear Power Reactor Operator

Type: Hourly contract (Part-time)

Compensation: $50-$110/hr

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Monitor and control nuclear reactor systems to ensure safe and efficient operations in line with regulatory standards.
• Respond to alarms and changing operational conditions by executing established safety protocols and corrective actions.
• Perform real-time system checks, analyze operational data, and document all activities and incidents.
• Collaborate remotely with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize reactor performance and reduce downtime.
• Prepare clear written reports and deliver verbal updates on reactor status and operational events.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry regulations, safety requirements, and technology advancements.
• Contribute to developing and refining remote operating procedures for improved oversight and responsiveness.

Requirements

• Certified Nuclear Power Reactor Operator with current or prior NRC license (or equivalent credentials).
• Strong knowledge of nuclear plant operations, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to accuracy and clarity.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, attention to detail, and sound judgment in high-stakes environments.
• Experience using digital monitoring tools or remote-control interfaces for energy facilities.
• Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote, part-time setting.
• Comfortable collaborating within cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
