Principal Statistical Programmer (Remote)

We’re looking for a Principal Statistical Programmer who can combine hands-on expertise with leadership to drive high-quality statistical deliverables across clinical trials. This is a role for someone who enjoys both rolling up their sleeves and elevating the team around them.

What You’ll Own

• Lead programming efforts across clinical trials, early-phase studies, and publications
• Serve as the go-to expert for statistical programming and study execution
• Own end-to-end delivery for at least one study, ensuring quality and timeliness
• Develop and validate SAS programs for datasets, tables, listings, and figures (TLFs)
• Deliver outputs for clinical study reports, including safety and efficacy analyses
• Ensure data integrity through validation, transformation, and QC processes
• Support data standardization and migration (e.g., CDISC)
• Partner cross-functionally to solve data challenges and meet critical timelines

Leadership & Impact

• Mentor and manage a small team (2–4 programmers)
• Elevate team performance through guidance, quality standards, and best practices
• Contribute to hiring and building a high-performing programming team

What Sets You Up for Success

• 5+ years of SAS programming experience in clinical trials
• Strong understanding of clinical development and regulatory requirements
• Proven experience in oncology (required)
• Expertise in CDISC standards and/or data standardization
• Ability to lead multiple priorities with autonomy and accountability
• Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across global teams
