Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages, including financial statements, work papers, and supporting schedules.
Manage intercompany chargebacks.
Perform reconciliations for GST/HST/QST, bank accounts, and tenant accounts, while also assisting with the collection process.
Prepare and review annual final CAM and Tax billing/lease agreements.
Record month-end and recurring journal entries.
Assist in the development of the annual budget.
Prepare year-end audit working papers and coordinate with auditors during fieldwork.
Manage tenant/vendor chargebacks as required.
Collaborate with Property Managers and Asset Managers on relevant accounting issues.
Oversee cash flow management and cash call processes.
Support acquisition and disposition analysis, including preparation of closing statements of adjustments.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in accounting or business.
CA/CMA/ICMA/ACCA certification or partial qualification.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication skills, particularly in writing detailed reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken).
