Job Description

Purpose of Job

To ensure timely tax compliance, accurate tax reporting, reconciliation of tax-related accounts, processing of tax payments, handling of regulatory notices, and effective coordination with branches and internal departments, in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and verify customer tax deduction cases and process reversal of incorrectly deducted taxes.
• Monitor and reconcile tax-related General Ledger (GL) accounts with branches to ensure accuracy.
• Verify STWH (Sales Tax Withholding) reports and ensure timely payment to relevant authorities.
• Ensure timely deposit and payment of Income Tax liabilities.
• Post tax payment transactions in T24 and Oracle systems.
• Coordinate with branches for issuance of Payment Orders (POs) and facilitate tax payments to regulatory authorities.
• Liaise with branches to resolve tax-related queries, issues, and operational matters.
• Maintain accuracy and compliance in tax-related records, payments, and reporting processes.
• Investigate and resolve issues identified in tax reports through coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support audit, inspection, and regulatory review requirements.
• Prepare, verify, and issue tax deduction/withholding tax certificates to vendors and customers.
• Handle and respond to tax-related notices received from various authorities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
