The Tendering Specialist is responsible for managing the complete tendering process, from
identifying opportunities to submitting competitive bids. The role involves preparing
technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal departments, ensuring
compliance with client requirements, and maximizing the company’s chances of securing
contracts.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
-Identify and evaluate new tender opportunities from government, semi-government,
and private sector clients.
-Review tender documents (RFPs, RFQs, ITBs) and analyze technical and commercial
requirements.
-Prepare and compile technical and financial proposals in coordination with
engineering, procurement, finance, and management teams.
-Conduct cost estimation, pricing analysis, and risk assessment.
-Ensure full compliance with tender specifications, terms & conditions, and
submission deadlines.
-Liaise with clients for clarifications and attend pre-bid meetings when required.
-Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and supporting
documentation.
-Maintain proper documentation of submitted tenders and tender databases.
-Track bid status, follow up on results, and support contract finalization upon award.
-Analyze unsuccessful bids and prepare lessons-learned reports to improve future
submissions.
Required Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related
field.
-10 years of experience in tendering, bidding, contracts, or proposal management.
-Strong understanding of procurement procedures and contract terms.
-Excellent analytical and pricing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
