Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accountant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our projects by managing financial transactions, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and expenses related to interior design projects.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments for goods and services received.
• Generate quotations and send invoices to clients for services rendered and track payments received.
• Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and provide insights into the financial performance of the firm.
• Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, income tax, and any other applicable taxes, in compliance with tax regulations.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to accurately bill clients for services provided and address client inquiries related to billing and invoicing.
• Utilize accounting software such as MS Excel or specialized interior design accounting software to manage financial tasks efficiently.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and financial professionals to facilitate clear and effective communication regarding financial matters.
• Stay informed about relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
