Assistant Manager Research Services & Pharmacovigilance

Position Summary: The Assistant Manager – Research Services & Pharmacovigilance will support clinical research and medication safety activities by coordinating research services, scientific publications, stakeholder engagement, and pharmacovigilance operations. The role will contribute to publication excellence, medication safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of pharmacovigilance systems through effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Role:

Research Services & Engagement:

• Engage internal (marketing) and external (doctors / editors) to build trust-based relationships for robust outcomes of research services
• Serving as the "Voice of the Department" by communicating insights from publications at organizational level
• Identify safety trends in PV
• Evaluate PV technologies like AI for signal detection to improve operational excellence

Research Services:

• Coordination with internal (Marketing & Sales) & external (HCPs) stakeholders for data analysis, manuscript editing, processing in journals & supporting publications.
• Coordination with research services providers/ agencies for timely accomplishment of services.
• Development of slide-decks for workshops related to Clinical Research & Pharmacovigilance.
• Review of synopsis, research proposals & manuscripts where applicable.
• Assist in planning and execution of medication safety alliance events and grant writing workshops across Pakistan.
• Tracking of all research services in a standard format for reporting and communication purposes.
• Assist supervisor in other related research activities.

Pharmacovigilance:

• Conduct literature surveillance activities for the Getz Pharma products
• Coordinate with relevant departments such as Marketing, Quality & Regulatory Affairs or any other for collecting information for the safety reports.
• Preparation of safety reports e.g. RMP, PSUR, and ICSRs as per local and international standards and requirements.
• Coordinate with Marketing and Sales Team for PV Trainings.
• Assist in the process of Global PV System development and learn the concepts for operational excellence.
• Update trend analysis of adverse event reports on quarterly or as per need basis.
• Assist supervisor in other related pharmacovigilance activities.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Pharm-D, Master's Degree in Life Sciences
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs, Scientific Publications, or related healthcare functions.
• Basic understanding of Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance principles.
• Working knowledge of data management and scientific literature review.
• Knowledge of research methodologies, publication processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
