Job Summary

We are looking for a Computational Biology Expert to help shape the next generation of AI systems. In this role, you will evaluate, annotate, and benchmark AI outputs in real-world computational biology scenarios. Your deep domain expertise will ensure AI models develop strong scientific reasoning in genomics, transcriptomics, systems biology, and related fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the accuracy, relevance, and biological validity of AI-generated content and workflows in computational biology.
• Assess and provide detailed feedback on genomics, transcriptomics, NGS pipelines, and structural biology tasks.
• Critically review scientific pipelines and reasoning, identifying strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine AI performance using real biological context.
• Document findings clearly, with strong scientific rationale and actionable insights.
• Communicate complex biological and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in bioinformatics, AI/ML applications in biology, and emerging tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a closely related field (or equivalent industry/research experience).
• Strong hands-on experience in data-driven biological research and computational analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and Bash.
• Experience with key bioinformatics tools and pipelines: BWA, GATK, STAR, Salmon, Seurat, Scanpy, and general NGS workflows.
• Deep knowledge of genomics, transcriptomics, systems biology, and/or structural biology.
• Excellent scientific reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working remotely in a distributed, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience evaluating or fine-tuning AI/ML models (especially LLMs) in a biology context.
• Hands-on work with AlphaFold, PyMOL, CRISPR workflows, or other modern structural/computational tools.
• Published research or contributions to open-source bioinformatics projects.
