Role summary

We're looking for a Customer Consultant to become the product and platform expert who sits between our customers and what we build. You'll guide clients through onboarding, account configuration, and day-to-day use — and you'll translate what customers need into clear, actionable input for Product and Engineering.

What you'll do Onboarding and integration

• Lead customer onboarding end to end, including data-source configuration and validation that ingested data maps correctly to our reports and dashboards.
• Own client account setup, access provisioning, and escalations.

Report mapping and configuration

• Map each client's accounts to the correct financial reports.
• Reconcile the reports we produce against the client's own reports and secure their sign-off before the reports go live.
• Keep mappings accurate over time as clients add accounts, change how they post transactions, or request new reports.
• Investigate variances between our numbers and the client's, resolve them, and document the cause so the same issue doesn't recur.
• Turn recurring mapping decisions into reusable patterns, so each new client starts from a known baseline instead of a blank sheet.

Troubleshooting and data integrity

• Own customer issues end to end by understanding both business context and data flow — determine whether a problem is a data-mapping, integration, configuration, or product question, then resolve or route it.
• Investigate disputes by reconciling our output against the source data and the customer's own expectations.

Product feedback and validation

• Gather requirements, document use cases, and turn scattered feedback into themes with evidence, frequency, and business impact attached.
• Validate designs and prototypes against real customer workflows before they reach development.

What you'll bring Required

• 2+ years in a customer-facing role — customer success, consulting, solutions or implementation, business analysis, or product support — including senior-level ownership of accounts or programs.
• Strong data literacy, including comfort with financial data. You should be able to read and reason about a dataset, understand how data mappings and integrations work, and independently validate that numbers are correct.
• Excellent written and spoken English, and the ability to translate between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving instincts and genuine end-to-end ownership of issues.
• Availability for meaningful daily overlap with US time zones.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience configuring or reconciling financial reporting in an ERP, accounting system, or BI tool.
• Formal or partial study in accounting or finance — a bonus, not an expectation.
• Experience with SaaS, BI, or analytics products — particularly the challenge of explaining a number to someone who doesn't yet trust it.
• Familiarity with data integration concepts: data feeds, batch and transactional ingestion, XML/JSON formats.
• SQL, or the ability to query a dataset well enough to check a number without asking engineering.
• Experience supporting multi-location or enterprise accounts.
