About the Role:

Team Zealancy is looking for a Video Editor with strong storytelling, motion design, and AI visual generation skills who can turn raw footage and creative concepts into engaging, high-retention YouTube content.

We are not hiring purely based on titles such as Junior or Senior.

Your portfolio, editing judgment, storytelling, intros, technical ability, and overall creative execution will determine your level.

You should understand not only how to edit, but why an edit works, what keeps viewers watching, and how pacing, visuals, sound, motion graphics, and AI-generated visuals can work together to strengthen the story.

You will primarily work across documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led, and long-form YouTube content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery.
• Build strong intros and hooks that create curiosity and hold attention.
• Structure videos around storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention.
• Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations, and visual effects.
• Use B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music, and sound effects purposefully.
• Create and integrate AI-generated visuals where required for storytelling, B-roll, concepts, and creative sequences.
• Use tools such as Higgsfield AI and other relevant AI image or video generation platforms.
• Combine AI-generated visuals with traditional editing, motion design, graphics, and sound so the final video feels visually consistent.
• Apply basic color correction and grading where required.
• Translate scripts, dialogue, and creative concepts into engaging visual sequences.
• Understand references and reproduce required editing styles accurately without blindly copying.
• Apply basic graphic design and layout principles when creating visual assets.
• Handle revisions professionally and efficiently.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and communicate blockers early.
• Deliver quality work within agreed deadlines.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
• Good understanding of motion design and animation.
• Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, sound design, and visual composition.
• Good typography and layout judgment.
• Understanding of basic color correction and color grading.
• Strong B-roll selection and visual storytelling ability.
• Good project organization and asset management.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine editing and workflow issues independently.
• Hands-on understanding of AI visual generation and AI-assisted creative workflows.
• Familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar AI image and video generation tools.
• Ability to generate, refine, and integrate AI visuals into professional edits.
• Strong judgment around visual consistency, realism, continuity, and overall quality when using AI-generated assets.

Content & Creative Skills:

We are looking for someone who:

• Understands YouTube storytelling and viewer retention.
• Knows what makes a strong intro and opening 30 to 60 seconds.
• Consumes quality long-form content and understands modern creator-led editing styles.
• Can study references and explain why certain editing decisions work.
• Has good English comprehension, especially when working with English-language scripts.
• Understands the difference between adding effects and making purposeful creative decisions.
• Understands when AI-generated visuals genuinely improve the story, rather than using AI just for decoration.
• Can translate scripts, abstract concepts, and ideas into strong AI-assisted visual sequences.
• Is familiar with or actively studies high-quality creator-led content and channels such as Johnny Harris, Colin & Samir, and similar creators.

Portfolio Expectations:

Your portfolio will play a major role in the evaluation process.

We will particularly look for:

• Strong intros and opening sequences
• Documentary and talking-head editing
• Long-form YouTube storytelling
• Motion graphics and typography
• B-roll selection and placement
• Sound design
• Pacing and viewer retention
• Visual creativity
• AI-generated or AI-assisted visual work, where available
• Ability to execute different references and editing styles

A candidate with fewer years of experience but a strong portfolio and stronger creative execution may be considered over someone with a senior title but weaker work.

Compensation & Growth:

PKR 45,000 to 120,000+ per month

Final compensation and role level will depend on your portfolio, technical skills, creative judgment, experience, trial performance, and overall evaluation.
