Aisha Steel Mill Limited Karachi, Pakistan is seeking a detail-oriented Executive Demand Planner with at least four years of experience to support effective demand forecasting and inventory management. This role focuses on preparing production plans and schedules by coordinating closely with sales and operations teams to ensure alignment with market demand. The successful candidate uses strong data analysis skills and advanced Excel proficiency to monitor actual versus forecasted performance, identify trends, and initiate corrective actions to optimize inventory and improve forecasting accuracy. This position requires excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making. The Executive Demand Planner plays a vital role in collecting data from relevant sources to facilitate accurate production planning and maintaining daily stock reports. This individual also actively seeks opportunities to improve the forecasting process by analyzing historical sales data and applying statistical methods. While this role does not involve managing a team, it demands proactive problem-solving and close collaboration with sales and supply chain functions to support smooth operations and contribute to the companys overall performance.
Responsibilities
 

  • Assist in the preparation of production plans and scheduling to meet forecasted demand.
  • Coordinate with the sales department to gather demand data and insights.
  • Perform thorough analysis of actual sales and production performance against forecasts, identifying variances and initiating corrective steps.
  • Analyze historical sales data to detect patterns, trends, and seasonality to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in the demand forecasting and inventory planning processes.
  • Maintain high proficiency in data analysis, including statistical modeling and advanced Excel techniques, to support forecasting activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection of data from various internal sources to aid production planning requirements.
  • Generate and distribute daily stock reports to relevant departments, tracking inventory status and availability.
  • Communicate forecasts clearly and effectively to cross-functional teams, influencing supply chain and sales decisions.
  • Monitor supply chain management to align inventory levels with demand forecasts, reducing stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Support sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes by providing reliable demand data and insights.
  • Utilize ERP systems to input, track, and update demand planning and inventory information.
  • Conduct scenario planning to assess the impact of different demand conditions and prepare contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with marketing and production teams to report on demand changes, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the supply chain and business operations.
