The Human Resource Manager at Al Wadaq Industry International plays a crucial role in managing a substantial workforce comprising approximately 400 laborers and 8 administrative staff. This position demands thorough oversight of attendance systems, workforce discipline, and payroll operations to ensure smooth daily functioning in all grading and sorting sections. The manager is responsible for ensuring precision in attendance records, detecting and preventing proxy attendance or ghost labor, and maintaining up-to-date labor documentation. A vital part of the role includes coordinating with multiple teams to align manpower planning with operational demands and maintaining labor productivity and discipline across all shifts. In addition to these operational duties, the Human Resource Manager supervises the timely disbursement of cash salaries, ensuring no delays or discrepancies occur. This managerial role also involves handling labor disputes, enforcing disciplinary actions when necessary, and sustaining an optimal workforce with minimal turnover. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage and coordinate a team member effectively and implement rigorous control measures within the workforce. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in workforce and payroll management within a warehouse or factory environment, combined with excellent communication skills in Urdu and English, and a personality characterized by integrity and decisiveness.
Responsibilities
 

  • Oversee and verify employee attendance using attendance software combined with physical checks to guarantee accuracy across all sections, grades, and product categories.
  • Prepare daily reports on attendance and absenteeism, submitting these to ownership to maintain transparency and control.
  • Identify and eliminate instances of proxy attendance, ghost labor, and any false reporting to uphold workforce integrity.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive payroll sheets by section and grade, coordinating with the Accounts department to ensure cash availability for salary disbursement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries in cash, maintaining proper acknowledgments such as signatures or thumb impressions from employees.
  • Promptly address and resolve any salary-related issues or disputes to prevent dissatisfaction and maintain labor morale.
  • Enforce workforce discipline by monitoring working hours, applying warnings, penalties, or terminations as required to maintain high standards.
  • Optimize labor productivity and control labor turnover by implementing effective manpower utilization strategies.
  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date labor records including national ID copies (CNIC), joining dates, wage rates, and assigned sections.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to effectively plan manpower requirements during container arrivals and other operational peaks.
  • Lead and supervise a direct report, providing guidance and ensuring effective teamwork and execution of responsibilities.
  • Uphold a controlled work environment with a firm personality focused on integrity, consistency, and fairness to strengthen workforce reliability.
