IT Manager - Infrastructure

HUBKOM (Pvt) Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Manager - Infrastructure to lead the companys IT infrastructure operations and strategy. This role requires a professional with a strong background in managing and optimizing critical IT systems to ensure reliability, security, and performance that aligns with business objectives. The successful candidate will develop and execute an IT infrastructure roadmap, establish technology standards, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and lead a skilled team responsible for network, server, and support engineering. With a focus on strategic leadership, the manager will provide insightful reporting on infrastructure performance and risks, contributing to informed decision-making at the senior management level. The IT Manager - Infrastructure will oversee operations ensuring continuous uptime of essential services, direct change management processes, and coordinate incident response efforts to maintain operational excellence. This role demands excellent leadership and communication skills to guide a team of two engineers, foster professional development, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong problem-solving mindset, capability to work under pressure, and expertise in vendor negotiation and organizational agility, ensuring all infrastructure services meet availability, security, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
 

• Develop and implement the IT infrastructure roadmap in alignment with HUBKOMs strategic business goals.
• Define, enforce, and continuously improve technology standards, policies, and best practices for IT infrastructure.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a dedicated team of network, server, and IT support engineers to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor contracts, procurement processes, and maintain productive vendor relationships.
• Oversee the availability and reliability of critical systems, ensuring 99.9%+ uptime through proactive infrastructure management.
• Coordinate and manage change control processes, including scheduling and communication of maintenance windows.
• Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments and external vendors to meet operational expectations.
• Lead infrastructure capacity planning, audits, and continuous monitoring of network and server performance.
• Coordinate incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis (RCA) post-incident, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Report regularly on infrastructure performance metrics, risk assessments, and project status to senior management and the Chief Technology Officer.
• Drive risk management initiatives and maintain a proactive approach to infrastructure vulnerabilities and potential threats.
• Apply strong vendor negotiation skills to optimize service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks and disaster recovery protocols.
• Manage infrastructure security, including firewall configurations, VPN management, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
• Oversee the administration and maintenance of Windows Server, Linux servers, virtualization technologies, and backup/DR solutions such as Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Develop and execute IT projects as required to upgrade infrastructure capabilities and support business growth.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and strong communication between IT teams and stakeholders.
