IT Officer

Job Description

Hamdard Pakistan is seeking a skilled IT Officer to join our Information Technology department located in Karachi. The ideal candidate possesses 2 to 4 years of experience in network administration and help desk support, with a strong foundation in computer hardware, networking, and operating systems. This role requires a Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. The IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining the companys IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable network operations, and providing technical support to end users. The position offers an opportunity to work with various technologies, including Microsoft Office and Windows Server, while applying best practices in cybersecurity and data protection. The candidate will work independently and does not have direct team management responsibilities but will collaborate closely with other IT professionals to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities
 

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime and maintain smooth IT services.
• Provide first-level technical support and help desk services to employees, resolving hardware, software, and network problems promptly.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in compliance with company policies and security standards.
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups to maintain data integrity and security.
• Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures and promote best practices to safeguard the organizations data and IT infrastructure.
• Maintain detailed documentation of IT assets, configurations, and maintenance activities for future reference and audits.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure IT resources and support when necessary.
• Train and guide end users on proper use of software applications and hardware resources to maximize productivity.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and upgrades to existing systems.
