The Aga Khan University Hospital is a not-for-profit healthcare institute that offers all medical services to their patients under one roof. Responsibilities:

You will be expected to provide support to the CEO on strategic and business decisions that includes working on business plans and feasibilities for expansion of the health services portfolio in Pakistan. You will lead new initiatives and projects that includes strategic planning, problem solving and process development. You will also be responsible to develop, implement, and monitor financial and statistical performance of hospital operations, identify opportunities for business development and growth, mitigate emerging risks, increase productivity, minimize wastage and develop reports for the concerned stakeholders. Specific responsibilities will be to:


develop hospital expansion plans and feasibilities for integration of health services within Pakistan.
develop key strategic objectives which are to be met in the short-term, medium-term and long-term and identify challenges that the health services may face in the achievement of the key strategic goals.
develop financial feasibility and business models in coordination with relevant departments / divisions to ensure multi-year sustainable outcomes that are aligned with strategic objectives of health services.
ensure implementation of business plans in coordination with departments / divisions and assist in designing strategies for dealing with high-risk initiatives.
prepare and write papers and documents on behalf of health services for the concerned stakeholders.
gather intelligence on strategic opportunities and challenges, review and implement market best practices, and advise on matters of strategic importance.
develop plans, concept notes, briefs, fact sheets and analytical frameworks.
engage stakeholders and facilitate the process of financial and technical due diligence.
drive processes to identify major risks and conduct benchmark studies.
support leadership in making financial and other relevant forecasts and resource allocation exercise, contributing monthly reviews with clinical departments to drive growth, efficiency, and meeting targets.
design business dashboards and KPIs to highlight performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
support on campus master planning by synchronising and aligning short and long-term planning across the health system.
understand the clinical and non-clinical domains to highlight effective solutions and strategies.


Requirements:

You should have:
a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or equivalent from a reputed university, preferably with a focus on business / finance.
at least 8 years of relevant work experience at management level, preferably related to managing financials, developing feasibilities, business process development and improvement, development of institutional strategies preferably in a health care setup.
in-depth knowledge of financial systems and business intelligence tools in healthcare setting.
Understanding of global best practices that are followed in preparing business models / feasibilities preferably in global health care systems/ institutions.
strategic thinking and motivation for effectively working with multiple constituents in a matrix environment and ability to realize business opportunities aligned with business strategy.
strong analytical skills to review financial data and identify opportunities and threats.
ability to effectively coordinate with teams in a fast-paced professional environment.
excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, particularly having ability to present complex ideas in a simpler and meaningful form.
proficient in the use of common computer applications, particularly MS Office package.
adaptability to change, positive attitude and ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently.
ability to cope-up with work pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
