Packing & Inventory Staff

Meer Retail is seeking a diligent Packing & Inventory Staff member with at least one year of experience to join our team. This role focuses on accurate inventory management and efficient packing processes to ensure smooth operations within the supply chain. The ideal candidate demonstrates responsibility, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of inventory handling, contributing to maintaining stock accuracy and supporting timely shipments. This position does not involve managing a team but requires strong individual organizational skills and collaboration with other departments to achieve company goals.
Responsibilities
 

• Receive and unpack incoming inventory shipments, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies promptly.
• Organize and store inventory items systematically to maintain order and facilitate easy access during picking and packing.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile stock levels to ensure data accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
• Prepare orders for shipment by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to company standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the storage and packing areas to create a secure working environment.
• Update inventory records using inventory management systems, ensuring real-time tracking of stock movements and adjustments.
• Communicate effectively with procurement and sales teams to anticipate inventory needs and address potential shortages or surpluses.
• Identify and report damaged or expired goods, assisting with proper disposal or return processes in accordance with company policies.
• Assist in implementing improvements to inventory and packing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
• Follow company policies and safety guidelines strictly to uphold operational excellence and compliance.
