PCB Repair Technician

Job Description

Alsons Consolidated International is looking for a skilled PCB Repair Technician to join our Karachi workshop team. The ideal candidate has at least two years of practical experience in repairing and troubleshooting printed circuit boards. This role requires a person who understands electronic components well, excels in soldering and desoldering surface-mount devices, and can accurately test and diagnose electronic circuit issues at the component level. The technician should be able to work independently with a high level of technical responsibility and ensure quality repairs are completed efficiently. The technician uses various tools and testing equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and soldering stations to maintain and repair circuit boards. Experience with industrial electronics, automation systems, fuel dispensers, or similar technology is preferred. The role does not include managing a team but demands a strong commitment to technical accuracy and problem-solving. DAE / Technical Diploma in Electronics or a relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities
 

• Inspect printed circuit boards to identify defects and faults accurately.
• Perform soldering and desoldering of surface-mount and through-hole electronic components with precision.
• Diagnose issues on electronic control boards and execute component-level repairs to restore functionality.
• Utilize testing equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and soldering stations to verify board performance.
• Maintain detailed records of repair activities and report findings and outcomes effectively.
• Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve electronic circuit problems efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards during repair operations.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment to facilitate effective work flow.
• Keep updated with the latest repair techniques and technologies related to PCB and industrial electronics.
• Provide technical insight and suggest improvements for repair processes and equipment usage.
