Senior Data Warehouse Engineer I

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data infrastructure that supports large-scale data processing and data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure efficient data flow and availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement appropriate data models and database schemas.
- Optimize data pipelines and ETL workflows for performance and efficiency, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data quality, consistency, and integrity to maintain reliable data systems.
- Provide infrastructure and tools to data scientists and analysts for advanced analytics and insights generation.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend innovative solutions to enhance processes and systems.
- Document data engineering workflows, data flows, and system architectures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Collaborate with software engineering and infrastructure teams to optimize integration of data infrastructure with other systems.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with expertise in large-scale data processing and ETL pipeline development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.
- Strong skills in SQL and database technologies, including relational databases, SQL querying, and data modeling.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Hive, along with knowledge of distributed systems and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehousing solutions is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively address complex data challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work efficiently within cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
