Technical Advisor - Social Mobilization and Production Alliances

ABOUT ACTED PAKISTAN:

ACTED has been present in Pakistan since 1993 and currently supports communities in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, and Azad Jammu Kashmir. ACTED Pakistan programs range from short-term emergency responses to recovery and rehabilitation, as well as longer-term development initiatives. ACTED's strategy is to target vulnerable communities affected by natural and conflict-related disasters as well as lack of socio-economic development.

As a Technical Advisor - Social Mobilization and Formation of Production Alliances, you will lead community mobilization and participatory engagement of target households and producer groups. You will design and implement social mobilization strategies for inclusive community participation, facilitate the formation, registration, and strengthening of producer organizations, community groups, and cooperatives. Additionally, you will lead the establishment and operationalization of Production Alliances among producers, service providers, input suppliers, and buyers. Strengthening governance, leadership, financial management, and institutional systems of producer organizations is also a key responsibility. You will provide technical assistance on collective production planning, aggregation, and alliance management, while promoting the participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups in production alliances.

Your role will also involve conducting Training of Trainers (ToTs) and developing training materials on social mobilization, institutional development, and cooperative management. You will coordinate with technical, marketing, and government stakeholders for convergence and linkage building, and develop monitoring systems to track functionality, participation, and sustainability of producer organizations and alliances. Documenting best practices, success stories, and supporting the development of exit strategies for long-term sustainability will also be part of your responsibilities.
