Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Textile Designer role based in Karāchi. The Textile Designer will develop original textile concepts, including prints, patterns, and embroidery layouts, in line with Nakoosh’s brand identity and seasonal direction. Responsibilities include researching trends, colors, and fabrics; creating design sketches and repeat patterns; and preparing production-ready artwork and technical files. The role involves close collaboration with the design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with commercial timelines. The Textile Designer will also participate in sampling reviews, refine designs based on feedback, and support quality checks during the pre-production phase.
Qualifications

 

• Strong foundation in textiles and textile design, including fabric types, dyeing, and printing techniques.
• Proficiency in Textile Prints and Embroidery design, with the ability to create detailed, production-ready artworks.
• Solid Graphic Design and Graphics skills, including expertise in relevant design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Experience translating design concepts into clear specifications for production and vendors.
• Good understanding of fashion and market trends, color theory, and composition.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate design ideas clearly.
• Degree or diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in apparel or home textiles is an advantage.
