Our client Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is looking for a Training Officer in Karachi

Main Purpose:

Support in organizing and implementing the training activities and applying related tools within the mission according to MSF's standards and procedures in order to improve people's capabilities in effectively achieving the mission's goals.

General Objectives of the Function:

 

  • Organize and coordinate the logistics and administrative activities needed for learning activities such as material distribution, equipment requests, transport arrangements, and obtaining material approval from other partners.
  • Participate in the creation of any training material developed by the departments, including translating documents into the local language, performing initial editing and proofreading, and keeping training materials available.
  • Gather information on the learning activities including pre-post-test evaluations and feedback from participants, and report problems, successes, and constraints.
  • Prepare and gather documents for the selection process of participants.
  • Support the supervisor in performing training needs assessments, determining appropriate content and target groups for training, ensuring continued improvements, and preparing a training calendar to cover training needs while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Assist the Facilitator/Trainer in delivering training courses and may deliver training courses himself/herself when required.

     

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities:

  • Act as the focal point for mapping local providers and contacts, completing procurement, market analysis, contracts, and payment processes.
  • Support the HR department in all steps of the recruitment process, including organizing written tests, calling candidates, maintaining attendance sheets, and archiving all documents related to the entire process.
  • Organize both physical and digital training events, recruitment processes, training procurement, and manage sensitive and strategic documents related to HR Learning and Development.
  • Follow up on Learning and Development (LND) data activities, including recording attendance, generating reports, and maintaining contact lists.
  • Ensure proper onboarding of new team members by preparing and following up on briefings and debriefings in collaboration with line managers.
  • Scan, codify, and rename HR Finance digital documents (onboarding, feedback, processes, LHS and IMS files, accountancy, and others per instructions).
  • Conduct in-house English language training and other basic internal training sessions as required (e.g., computer skills).
  • Cover the HR Assistant’s duties in their absence.
  • Perform any other Learning and Development, HR, or administrative tasks as assigned.
