Purpose
The functional lead position is significantly responsible for operational use of GIS system in conjunction with the Operational Technologies. Perform
team of GIS SMEs and developers. The position primarily has to establish distribution asset management regime at K-Electric by integrated GIS with ongoing alignment with enterprise-wide asset management processes, standards and protocols and to manage the digitization of KE network assets providing end-users tools in the form of digital maps and integrated processes - thereby facilitating KE's core network operations.
Education & Relevant Experience
Bachelor's/master's in engineering sciences (Electrical/Telecommunication)/MSc in Geography
Knowledge & Skills
Project Management sector.
SME level knowledge of GIS and Arc-FM enterprise technologies
Understanding of SAP -ERP i.e. SAP PM, PS, MM, IS-U, CRM systems
Understanding of distribution operations, new connection, Village Electrification, and System Improvement Program.

Ensuring the Sanctity of Network Hierarchy By GIS as a Single Source of Truth
By actively collaborating with the stakeholders:
Manage the utilization of ArcFM project to establish electrical intelligence in digitized SLDs.
Ensure network hierarchy sanity for pan KE data availability ensuring reliance on system generated reports. Objective is to discontinue manual report
Automate utility performance indices like SAIDI, SAIFI, HT Loss calculation and many others
To ensure Network Hierarchy readiness for ADMS/OMS (next strategic large scale project network automation project)
To ensure that the health of diagrams is maintained neatly to achieve the smart grid objectives for the company
To provide guidelines to team members for timely completion of project activities and milestones.
To ensure that the stakeholders are trained on new systems for smooth HOTO.
Support GIS team lead in budgeting activities though providing subject matter knowledge

Uniformity in Asset Management across various enterprise platforms driven By GIS
By actively collaborating with the stakeholders, spearhead implementation of GIS for utility assets management. This includes:
Digitization of linear and non-linear assets on GIS system involving cluster operations for coordinated efforts.
Guide the acquisition, use, and disposal of distribution system assets to provide the level of service required. Carry out above in a cost-effective man maintenance, and operational use of a physical asset increasing its useful life, prevent failure and thereby save direct and indirect cost on the capex a
