Job Description

EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Manager Oracle Developer to lead and enhance its database development initiatives. This position requires advanced expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, with a particular focus on developing, optimizing, and integrating Oracle Forms and Reports. The role involves managing a team of three professionals, overseeing the full lifecycle of database projects, and ensuring optimal performance of Oracle databases (versions 11g, 12c, and 19c). The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field and demonstrates strong skills in query writing, execution plans, and performance tuning. The Manager Oracle Developer will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the company's Oracle database systems to support business functions effectively. This position demands a deep understanding of Oracle Database Architecture and the ability to apply this knowledge to optimize workflows and streamline data processing. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and the delivery of technical leadership to team members form key parts of the role, ensuring that project goals are met within set timelines and quality standards.
Responsibilities
 

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of three Oracle developers, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers to support business applications.
• Develop and integrate Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports, ensuring seamless communication and functionality across systems.
• Perform query optimization and implement performance tuning strategies using execution plans to enhance database efficiency.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to database performance, data integrity, and application functionality.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security policies related to Oracle database environments.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Manage database configuration and deployment activities to support development, testing, and production environments.
• Monitor Oracle databases for performance, availability, and security, implementing necessary adjustments proactively.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in Oracle technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
• Prepare detailed documentation related to database design, coding standards, and operational procedures.
• Assist in planning and executing database migrations, upgrades, and backups in alignment with business continuity plans.
